Phelps Continues Carbondale Office Hours in December

HARRISBURG, Ill. – In an effort to increase accessibility to the resources his constituent services office provides, state Rep. Brandon Phelps, D-Harrisburg, will be holding mobile office hours in Carbondale on Monday, December 21st from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Civic Center, located at 200 S Illinois Ave. in Carbondale

“Harrisburg is more than a stone’s throw from Carbondale, so coming out to our constituent office can be a bit of a hassle,” said Phelps. “I want the residents of Carbondale and all the communities of the 118th District to know that me and my staff are going to work our tails off to have the most accessible service office in the state.”

Mobile office hours are one of the tools that Phelps uses to ensure that his constituent service office is open and accessible to all the residents of the 118th District. Residents can stop by and talk to Phelps or his staff about any questions, concerns or issues they may have regarding Illinois. Phelps has been setting up mobile office hours throughout the district, including previous stops in Carbondale and Metropolis. The 118th Districts spans 11 counties, making it difficult for families with busy schedules to make it to Phelps’ office.

“The 118th District in Southern Illinois is one of the largest in the state, covering eleven counties,” said Phelps. “I want to make sure that every resident of this district has the opportunity to get a hold of me if they need assistance and this event is one way that I try to do that.”

Phelps represents the 118th District in the Illinois General Assembly, which includes all or portions of Alexander, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, Saline and Union counties.
