Fairfield Memorial Hospital strives to provide the best possible care for our patients, visitors, and staff. So, as our mission we intend to educate our community on the importance of these three simple actions. The science does uphold these concepts to slowing the spread of the virus with the anticipation of stopping the spread of the virus completely.
We have been working together with other groups since the outset of the pandemic to raise awareness of essential public health and safety measures to reduce the spread of the virus, emphasizing that we can defeat this crisis the same way we defeated previous threats to public health…by allowing science and evidence to shape our decisions and inform our actions.
With this sentiment of action, Horizon Healthcare Clinics will not be providing written acknowledgments stating that patients cannot wear a mask. If a person has a medical reason prohibiting them from wearing a mask they will be in a very small minority group and we will work with them to find a way to keep their face covered effectively. This may involve a face shield or a different type of mask. Please understand that the Hospital and Clinics are here to educate, serve and promote good health habits both during a pandemic and during times of lesser health concerns.
FMH and our Clinics with our brave frontline caregivers have put it all on the line for months, giving their best efforts each and every day to treat patients, comfort families and contain the spread of the pandemic.
And we will continue those efforts for as long as it takes. In return, the least we can do is….
Wear a mask. Wash our hands. Keep our distance.
