77 students throughout Southern Illinois receive scholarship
Peoples National Bank announced that 77 high school graduating seniors were awarded $38,500 to continue their secondary education. “Our commitment to the communities we serve is part of who we are, what we do and why we have been in business since 1909,” commented Hunt Bonan of Peoples National Bank.
In keeping with the tradition of community service and commitment to the education of future civic and business leaders, Peoples National Bank established an educational scholarship that assists high school graduates in continuing their education at a university, college, trade or vocational school. Each recipient of the Peoples National Bank scholarship receives a $500 scholarship. Scholarships are awarded to students exhibiting positive
leadership and character in academic, community and extra-curricular activities.
Area students receiving scholarships include Benton High School students Gage Clark, Jared Shaw, Madeleine Miller, Quincey Montoya and Zoe Carlton; Frankfort Community High School student Lauryn McCabe; Carmi-White County High School students Elizabeth Gwaltney, Olivia Gwaltney and Payton Dale; NCOE High School student Trenton Johnson; Carterville High School students Grace Laczynski and Madison Campbell; Herrin High School students Caitlin Kochan, Maria Camarato, Morgen Calcaterra and Reice Hartline; Marion High School students Gloria Wofford and Paula Diederich; Eldorado High School students Chloe Hopkins and Kolten Oglesby; Harrisburg High School students Grayson Osman, Jacob Penrod, Savanna Haney and Sophia Winkleman; Hamilton County High School students Abby Reyling, Adam Wellen, Brandon Peters, Brenna Hamson, Camryn Parker, Clayton Keener, Derrick Epperson, Frank Zachman III, Grace Lueke, Jacob Wuebbels, Kaitlynn Elizondo, Kasey Whipple, Madison Mattingly, Peyton Prince, Rylee Woodrow, Seth Davenport and William Jones. “At Peoples National Bank, we believe investing in the future of our youth makes strong communities.
