A Carmi man is being held in the White County Jail after being arrested on a White County warrant for possession of child pornography. At around 7 p.m. Wednesday, officers with the Carmi Police Department arrested 20 year old Jacob Paynter of Crebs Street following a traffic stop on Main Street. Paynter is being held on a $7500 bond. No other details have been made available at this time.
