Spring and fall are ideal times for pond stocking. Temperatures are mild and oxygen levels are high, so the stress factors that affect fish will be at their lowest. The White County Soil & Water Conservation District is taking orders for the annual fall fish sale through Thursday, September 26th for Grass Carp and through October 4th for all other fish. Available are Channel catfish, Hybrid Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Minnows, Redear Sunfish, and Grass Carp. Prices start at just .80 cents each. Delivery will be at 11am on Thursday, October 10th at the USDA Service Center. All fish will be bagged with no pond water needed. Call 618-382-2213 for details or to place orders.
