A Grayville man was sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections back on October 1st in Edwards County.
39-year-old Zachary Powell, found guilty of Unlawful Failure to Register as a Violent Offender Against a Youth, a Class 3 Felony, will be serving a five-year sentence in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Following this, he will have a six-month Mandatory Supervised Release.
The Edwards County State’s Attorney, Eric St Ledger, prosecuted the case, with Public Defender Brian Shinkle representing Powell.
