Freshly sworn in Deputy Matt Wicker saw some action for the White County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday. Barry Baker of rural Carmi phoned the department to let officials know someone had dumped a 15 horsepower electric oilfield motor dumped in one of his field. Baker expects it was dropped there after the last rain as he noticed vehicle tracks leading to where it was dumped. The motor was found where Wayne, White, and Edwards County lines converge.
