A traffic stop early Saturday resulted in the arrest of a Carmi woman following the discovery of meth and cannabis in the vehicle. At around 2 AM, 27 year old year old Jordyn Puckett of Webb Street was stopped on Fifth Street by an officer with the Carmi PD. Puckett is being charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Use of Property and Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle. She was also cited for Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Operation of a Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration due to Mandatory Insurance. Puckett appeared before Judge T Scott Webb in White County Court this morning. She was ordered to remain in custody without bond.
Janelle Foster 20 of Princeton Indiana was arrested during a traffic stop on the evening of Saturday March 4th. Foster was stopped on Route 14 by an officer with the Carmi PD who was informed by dispatched that Foster’s license were Suspended. She was also cited for Operation of a Motor Vehicle without Registration and Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Foster was taken into custody and booked in the White County Jail. She paid $250 bond plus a $20 booking fee and was released.
A West Frankfort man was arrested in Carmi Saturday evening following a traffic stop initiated by an Officer with the Carmi Police Department. Jason Stanton 52 was taken into custody for Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle. He was also cited for Operation of a Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration due to Mandatory Insurance. Stanton appeared in court this morning where he pleaded guilty to the Cannabis charge. He is scheduled to appear in court for a review hearing on June 5th at 8:30 AM.
35 year old Sheena Garrett of Crossville was arrested Sunday evening during a traffic stop. Garrett was taken into custody for Operation of Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration. She paid $250 bond plus a $20 booking fee and was released about an hour later. Garrett is scheduled for a First Appearance in White County Court on April 11th at 9 AM.
