Norris City and Grayville Leaders Set to Meet Next Week

Two final meetings to round out the 2023 calendar year are coming up.  The Norris City Village Board will gather on Wednesday for a special gathering at 4pm.  On the agenda is the paid leave ordinance and officials are expected to open bids on the Wakeford House before adjourning for the year.

Further east, the Grayville City Council will meet at 7pm.  On their agenda includes an easement of vacated Pulaski Street for the water line extension project and the New Resident Attraction Program.  Commissioners will also go through the second reading of a couple ordinances, one authorizing the sale of real estate and the other establishing rates for water and sewer to take effect next year.  In new business, Commissioners are expected to update the grant for the Sewer Lagoon and Sewer System with a commitment of local funds.  Leaders will also handle TIF fund requests from Elisa Pearce for Epic Nails and a TIF and Revolving Loan Request for CC’s Boutique.

WROY/WRUL News will be short on personnel next week as all hands will be on deck for the 59th annual Eldorado Holiday Tournament.  We’ll work to bring you any important news that comes from these meetings afterwards however.  Grayville meetings are typically streamed live through the City of Grayville facebook page.
