A pair of New Haven men are behind bars in the White County Jail after they were picked up by Carmi Police Thursday morning. Just after 10am, officers stopped 31 year old Justin Murphy on Elm Street. He’s being charged with having no valid driver’s license, possession of meth, unlawful use of property, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The passenger in the vehicle, 18 year old Benjamin Steele faces charges of possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle, possession of meth, unlawful use of property, possession of paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of firearm ammunition. Both remain behind bars awaiting bond being set by a judge.
