It was an icy, cold early February morning when residents of New Haven woke to find their beloved American Legion Post 1141 had burned to the ground. The Legion has a new commander, Cody Rhein and he’s inviting the public to a meeting this Saturday at 6pm. Rhein says the meeting will allow folks to learn where the organization stands in rebuilding and what’s needed to accomplish the task. A GoFundMe was launched shortly thereafter. There’s been just under $2,600 raised to date according to the most updated numbers. The meeting will be held at the community center located at 650 Vine Street in New Haven this Saturday at 6pm.
