New Haven Archer Joins SIC Falcons
HARRISBURG, Ill. (July 29, 2021) – New Haven native Matthew Emmerson signed his intent to compete with the Southeastern Illinois College Falcon Archers for the 2021-22 season.
Emmerson was an active FFA member at Gallatin County High School and is currently enrolled in the Diesel Technology Program at SIC.
Head Falcon Archers coach Ricky Sauls says, “Matthew is very excited to be on the archery team and is eager to learn how to compete at the college level.”
The SIC Archery Team started with a small group of students as a pilot program in 2011. Since that time, the Falcon Archers have won national awards against Division I universities, added an indoor facility and indoor team, and host high school tournaments.
