10/27/2015 Mt. Carmel Police arrested 27 Leanna D. McClanahan of Mt. Carmel. McClanahan was arrested after the arresting officer observed her in the 200 block of N. Walnut Street in Mt. Carmel and knew she was wanted on a failure to appear warrant out of Wabash County. When the arresting officer made contact with McClanahan she was found to be in possession of suspected cannabis and drug paraphernalia. The arresting officer also reported that when asking McClanahan for her identification she provided false information. McClanahan was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was charged with obstruction of justice, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, and she was served the FTA warrant. McClanahan was held pending the posting of bond.
10/28/2015 Mt. Carmel Police arrested 32 year old Charles L. Leek of Mt. Carmel. According to the police report, Leek was stopped for an equipment violation in the 400 block of W. 9th Street. During the traffic stop it was believed Leek was under the influence of drugs. Leek was arrested for DUI-drugs. A search of Leek and his vehicle turned up suspected cannabis, drug paraphernalia, prescription drugs and a set of brass knuckles. Leek was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with DUI, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance, and he was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Leek is being held pending the posting of bond.

Mt. Carmel Police arrested 29 year old Shannon Morrison of Mt. Carmel on a Wabash County Warrant. Morrison was observed operating a motor vehicle with a defective muffler in the area of 3rd St. and Market in Mt. Carmel. During the traffic stop it was discovered she was wanted on a failure to appear warrant. Morrison was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of $200.00 cash.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested Jak N. Ivie, age 22, of Mt. Carmel after he was reportedly driving reckless in the 1100 block of Landes Street. Police were able to locate Ivie in the area of Parrish and W. 11th Street. When the arresting officer made contact with Ivie he provided the officer with a false name. The arresting officer was able to determine his true identity and he was placed under arrest. Ivie was transported to the Wabash County Jail and charged with obstruction of justice and cited for reckless driving. Ivie was held pending the posting of bond.
On 10/25/2015, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Jeffrey J. Carthew, age 52, of Johnstown, PA. Carthew was arrested after being stopped by MCPD for improper lane usage. The arresting officer reported smelling an alcoholic beverage smell coming from his person. The subject informed the officer he was DUI. The arresting officer placed Carthew under arrest and transported him to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with DUI, no valid driver’s license, improper lane usage, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Carthew was held pending the posting of bond.
On 10/23/2015, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Zachary M.J. Clark, age 21 of Oblong, Illinois. Clark was stopped for a registration violation and during the stop it was discovered he was driving on a suspended driver’s license. Clark was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Clark was held at the jail until he posted bond.
