On 01/12/2016, Mt. Carmel Police were called to a residence in the 500 block of Plum Street reference a domestic. Police were told that 35 year old Valerie C. Schrader was involved in a physical altercation with a family member. Schrader was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was held pending the posting of bond. A juvenile found at the scene was also arrested and charged with domestic battery. The juvenile was turned over to the custody of a family member.
01/09/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 36 year old Shannon R. Dill of Mt. Carmel after she was observed inside 2 Go’s Convenient Store. A Mt. Carmel Police Officer knew Dill was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant. Dill was taken into custody and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was served the warrant. Dill was held pending the posting of bond.

Mt. Carmel Police arrested and Evansville, Indiana man after he was stopped for a traffic violation. Mt. Carmel Police arrested 38 year old Cale J. Messel after he was found to be operating an uninsured motor vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. During the traffic stop it was also discovered that Messel was in possession of a drug pipe. Messel was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving while suspended, and unlawful display on a vehicle. Messel was held pending the posting of $150.00 cash.
Mt. Carmel Police were called to the Eagles Friday evening reference a disturbance. When MCPD Officers arrived on scene they were told that 26 year old Cory J. Fisher of Mt. Carmel damaged property owned by the Eagles. Police were able to locate Fisher and placed him under arrest. Fisher was originally charged with criminal damage to property. However, while in the jail he damaged jail property. Fisher was held pending the setting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 56 year old Lisa C. Shearer of Mt. Carmel. Police had a warrant for Shearers arrest and located her in the 400 block of E. 6th Street. Shearer’s warrant was for one count of forgery. Shearer was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of $500.00 cash.
