The race for Mayor of Carmi in the April 1, 2025 election remains a three-person race for now. Current Mayor Jeff Pollard is being challenged by Bill Stendeback and “Baking Marine” John Bolerjack. Incumbent Sheila Headlee, representing Ward I has picked up a petition. Jack Bradshaw is the latest citizen to throw his hat in the ring intending to challenge in that Ward. In Ward II, Doug Hays, the incumbent remains unchallenged. Three individuals have picked up petitions for Ward III. Those include incumbent Steve Winkleman and challengers Cheyenne Long as well as Tim Sneed. In Ward IV, incumbent Tracy Nelson remains without opposition as of September 3rd.
