Fairfield Memorial Hospital announces the addition of Misty Stone, APN, FNP, who has joined
Fairfield Memorial Hospital General Surgery Clinic. Misty received her Master of Science in
Nursing from Walden University in 2023. Misty has worked in nursing for the past 19 years and
8 of those years were with Fairfield Memorial Hospital Horizon Healthcare.
“When the time finally came to write an introductory paragraph, I thought long and hard about
how to present it. I knew that I would start by expressing an abundance of gratitude; gratitude to
Fairfield Memorial Hospital/Horizon staff and the wonderful providers that have guided me
along my educational journey to becoming a Nurse Practitioner. FMH/Horizon is home to me,
partly because of my co-workers and another part due to the connections I have made in this
wonderful community and surrounding areas over the last 8 years! Medicine can be very
challenging and ever-changing; however, my primary goal will be to help my patients attain and
