11/18/2015 Mt. Carmel Police arrested 28 year old Brittny M. Byrns of Mt. Carmel. MCPD Officers went to 431 W. 2nd Street in order to serve an aggravated identity theft warrant out of Wabash County. Byrns is accused of using a person’s debit card without their permission. Byrns is being held in the Wabash County Jail on a $2,000 cash bond.

Mt. Carmel Police were dispatched to the area of 5th and Elm Street reference two men fighting in the street. Upon arrival, MCPD Officers located a Scott D. Moore, age 43, of Princeton and Curt E. Dill, age 32, of Mt. Carmel. According to the police report, Dill and Moore were in an altercation of over a female. During the altercation Dill is accused of breaking the window of Moore’s vehicle. During the course of the investigation it was determined both subjects brandished a weapons. Dill is accused of having a knife and Moore is accused of having a small wooden club. Police arrested both subjects. Moore was charged with criminal and traffic related offenses. At the Wabash County Jail Moore was charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, aggravated battery, obstructing justice, operating uninsured motor vehicle, unlawful possession of altered plates, driving while suspended, no valid registration, and improper display of registration. Dill was charge unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Both subjects were held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 51 year old Steven R. Finchem of Mt. Carmel. Finchem was arrested after it is alleged he committed a traffic offense in the area of 9th and Market Street. The arresting officer reported that while speaking with Finchem he detected an alcoholic beverage smell coming from his person. Finchem was arrested and charged with DUI. Finchem was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 28 year old Jessica L. Aten of Lawrenceville. The arresting officer reported seeing Aten operating a motor vehicle in the 500 block of Oak Street. The arresting officer knew Aten was wanted on a aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude police officer warrant out of Wabash County. The arresting officer initiated a vehicle stop and placed Aten under arrest. The passenger in the vehicle, Austin T. Wiggins, age 31, of Mt. Carmel was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol.

Mt. Carmel Police arrested 19 year old Anthony A. Bell of Cincinnati, Ohio. Police were called to CVS reference a shop lifter. When Police arrived on scene they were shown surveillance footage of a white male stealing 3 Snicker’s ice cream bars. The located the suspect on Risley Avenue in Mt. Carmel and identified him as Bell. Bell was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with retail theft.

Mt. Carmel Police were called to the 300 block of W. 10th Street reference a disturbance. Upon arrival they located an intoxicated 33 year old Amanda L. Perry of Mt. Carmel. Police were able to get Perry inside of a residence but once inside she struck the arresting officer. Perry was transported to the Wabash County Jail and charged with aggravated battery. Perry was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 44 year old Charles T. Patton of Newburgh, Indiana. Patton was arrested after he was found to be in possession of prescription pills. Police were called to the 300 block of W. 12th Street reference an attempted burglary. During the course of the investigation it was discovered that Patton was in possession of the prescription pills. Patton was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Patton was held pending the posting of bond.

Mt. Carmel Police arrested a couple after they damaged an occupied vehicle. According to the police report, Domenic Migliarese, age 24, and Cecily K. Cullison, age 26, both of Mt. Carmel, went up to a vehicle occupied by Trevor Mitchell and began banging on the door and window. Migliarese told officers that Mitchell owes him money and he was just trying to get paid. Mitchell was able to lock his door and drive off before Cullison and Migliarese were able to gain access to his vehicle. However, they were able to rip the door handle off his car. Migliarese and Cullison were located and arrested for criminal damage to property. Both subjects are being held in the Wabash County Jail pending the posting of bond.
