A McLeansboro woman has been flown to a regional hospital following a serious accident on the edge of Enfield early Wednesday morning. White County Sheriff says Lakin missed the curve coming into Enfield and her SUV sustained catastrophic damage. White County Ambulance personnel, along with Enfield Fire and White County Sheriff’s authorities were called to handle the accident. Lakin was reportedly injured and trapped inside the vehicle forcing rescuers to have to extricate her from the vehicle. Lakin was reportedly alert and talking to crews prior to being air lifted to an Evansville medical facility.
