18 year old Laythan Green and a juvenile female were both arrested for Domestic Battery following a report of a fight in progress at the intersection of North Hickory Street and East Thomas Street in McLeansboro. Around 7:18 AM, Officers responded to the scene and obtained multiple witness statements that identified the two as being involved in a physical altercation in the public street. Green was transported to the White County Jail. The juvenile female was charged and released to a parent.
75 year old James G. Renella, of Glendale Heights, Illinois, was arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a Felon after Officers responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of West Moore Avenue around 2:31 PM. Upon arrival, Officers were informed of an Order of Protection that had just been filed in Hamilton County Court that needed to be served. Information was obtained as to the presence of firearms in the possession of persons not legally eligible to posses them. After investigation, Renella was transported to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office for processing and then to the White County Jail pending bond being set by a judge.
