Martisko Arrested On White County Warrant And Possession Of Cannabis

The police pulling over a vehicle because the owner was driving on a expired, suspended or revoked license, then finding they had drugs on them seems to be a common occurrence these days.

Such was the case just before 7 PM Monday when two White County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle on First Street in Crossville, driven by Timmy James Martisko of 503 North Hammill Street in Crossville.  One of the deputies noticed the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and asked the driver if he had been smoking any pot or if there was any cannabis in the vehicle in which Martisko replied ‘no.”  The deputy then spotted “roach cigarettes” in the ash tray as well as loose cannabis.  Martisko was asked to step out of the vehicle and placed under arrest for two White County warrants for no valid insurance or registration, as well as possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle.  A test kit for marijuana showed the loose pot tested positive.  Martisko was wanted on a White County warrant and was charged with Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle.  Martisko was taken to the White County Jail and his vehicle was towed by Cherry Street Automotive.

Martisko was released on $1,075 bond plus a $20 booking fee.
