A Springerton man is in the White County Jail following his arrest on a White County warrant. On Friday, July 1st, Officer Spencer and White County Sheriff Deputy Nick Capeheart responded to 110 Marcus Street in Springerton to serve an arrest warrant for 51 year old Mark E Malone. When officers arrived they met with Malone, who was next door. Malone was advised of the warrant and of the charge on the warrant, which was Unlawful Possession of Meth, less than 5 grams. Bail amount listed on the warrant was $30,000 or $3,000 cash bond plus a $20 booking fee. Malone said he understood the charges and the required cash bond. Malone was transported to the White County Jail where his bond was reduced to $1,000. He is being held pending posting of the required cash bond.
