Louisiana Man Still Missing

KNOX COUNTY, Ind.) — It’s been over a month since the disappearance of a Louisiana man who was last seen here in the Tri-State.

The Knox County Sheriff, Doug Vantlin, said, that Jared McColloch is wanted for two felony warrants and he does not suspect foul play.

It’s been over a month since Jared McColloch was last seen on surveillance at a gas station in Illinois.

On November 6th, his truck was found on Wabash River Road, with the doors open and his two dogs inside.

“The search over the period of weeks has involved drones with thermal imaging, boats. We’ve had conservation officers on the river probably seven to ten days looking for him,” says Sheriff Vantlin.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says they’ve had deputies in the area everyday for the past month.

Due to McColloch crossing state lines, local and state law enforcement from both Illinois and Indiana have been involved in the investigation.

Sheriff Vantlin says, “We have no reason for the FBI yet. Like I said, we have no signs of foul play or anything.”

Upon the investigation, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office discovered that Mccolloch is wanted on felony charges for domestic battery out of Louisiana and probation violations in Indiana.

“So, we want to advise the public that if they would happen to see him, do not approach him, but contact local law enforcement,” says Sheriff Vantlin.

Family, friends, and law enforcement ask if you have any information that can help in the ongoing investigation to please contact authorities.

The search efforts stretch beyond law enforcement.

After McColloch’s family began a social media group, community involvement elevated; with locals assisting the family to find any sort of answers as to what happened to Jared McColloch.
