The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog Volleyball team defeated Gallatin County last night in 2 sets, 25-15 and 25-11. The Lady Bulldogs are off to a 3-0 start to the 2023 season. They will travel to Flora on Tuesday.
The CWC Girls Tennis team fell at home yesterday to Mt. Vernon, 5-4.
The CWC Boys Golf team fell at home to Mt. Carmel yesterday, 157-169.
Maxon O’Daniel and Connor Newell both shot a 41.
Aidan Willis shot a 43.
Gabe Winkleman shot a 44.
Abe Girten shot a 45.
Jax Jordan shot a 54.
The Bulldogs will be in action again on Tuesday when they host Flora.
The CWC junior high baseball and softball traveled to Benton yesterday, baseball fell 6-0 and softball fell 11-8. Both teams will host Eldorado on Tuesday.
Tonight the Carmi-White County Bulldog football team will host Hamilton County to kick off week 2 of the IHSA football season. The Bulldogs are coming off a 52-16 win over Flora, meanwhile Hamilton County fell to Sesser-Valier last week 34-16. At halftime of tonight’s game, CWCHS will honor the 20th Anniversary of the 2003 Bulldog Football team. The 2003 Bulldogs were the first team in school history to win an IHSA Playoff game, and one of only 2 teams in school history to reach the quarterfinals. Kickoff is set for 7 PM tomorrow night, fans can listen or watch the game on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel.
