The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog Volleyball team took down Toledo Cumberland last night 25-9, 25-12 in the IHSA 2A Lawrenceville Regional semifinals. The Lady Bulldogs advance to tomorrow night’s regional championship game where they will face 6 seeded Newton who upset 3 seeded Robinson last night. Carmi has played Newton once this season, back on October 14 at the Edwards County Tournament when the Lady Dogs won in 3 sets. Best of luck to the Lady Bulldogs tomorrow night.
This Saturday the Carmi-White County Bulldog football team will host the Breese Mater Dei Knights at 1 PM. The Bulldogs come into Saturday’s game with a 7-2 record after falling to Johnston City 36-6 last Friday. The Knights are also coming off a loss last week, they fell to Mt. Zion 41-6. Carmi played Breese Mater Dei in the first round of the 2021 playoffs in Breese, and the Knights came away victorious 54-16.
