The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog Volleyball team defeated Cisne in two sets last night to improve to 26-1 on the season.
With the win, head coach Chris Lucas becomes the winningest coach in CWCHS Volleyball History. Lucas took over as head coach in 2020, and has since led the Lady Bulldogs to 116 wins and 44 losses. Congratulations to coach Lucas!
The Lady Bulldogs will host Fairfield tomorrow night at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium for a huge battle with major Black Diamond Conference implications. If Carmi wins, they will claim the undefeated outright conference championship. If Fairfield wins, they will tie Carmi for the BDC Championship. The match will be streamed on the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel, but fans are encouraged to come out and pack the gymnasium for what should be an entertaining night of volleyball.
The Carmi-White County Cross Country team ran at Hamilton County yesterday.
Andrew Benham finished 4th in the Boys Varsity run.
Luke Bolerjack finished 11th.
Ally Pollard finished 15th in the Girls Varsity run.
Gabbie Conover finished 17th.
Syler Lynn finished 13th in the Boys JV Run.
The Bulldogs will head back to Hamilton County tomorrow for the BDC Meet.
The Carmi-White County Girls Tennis team fell on the road at Mt. Carmel yesterday, 6-5.
The Lady Bulldogs will head to Centralia on Friday for the IHSA Sectionals.
