The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog tennis team ended their regular season with a tough defeat on the road against Mt. Carmel yesterday, losing 7-2. The Lady Bulldogs will begin sectional play in Herrin next week.
The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog Volleyball team defeated Cisne in 2 sets last night on the road, 25-18 and 25-21. They improved their record to 14-7 on the year, and they will host Fairfield tomorrow night. The IHSA Volleyball regional seedings were announced earlier this week. The Lady Bulldogs will be the 4 seed in the Mt. Carmel regional which lies within the Pinckneyville sectional. Carmi will play the winner of 5th seeded Mt. Carmel and 10th seeded Harrisburg on Tuesday the 25th.
Tomorrow the CWC Cross-Country teams will run at the Black Diamond Conference meet to wrap up their regular season.
This Friday Night as the Carmi-White County Bulldog football team travels to Johnston City to face the Indians both teams are undefeated and ranked in the top 10 in 2A. A win for the Bulldogs will give them their first BDC Championship since 2011. A win for JC will be their 3rd consecutive BDC title.
