The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog basketball team fell on the road last night to Hamilton County by a final score of 61-22. Mara Serafini led the team in scoring with 8 points, Addie Elliot scored 6, Caroline Simmons, Shemaine Lovell and Alyna Johnson all scored 2 points, Ebonie Hawks and Lily Pollard both scored 1. Head coach Clinton Wolff says his team still has a lot to learn early in the season. The Lady Bulldogs will be back in action at home against Eldorado.
The 7th Grade Bullpups fell to Mt. Carmel last night 40-18, and the 8th Grade Bullpups lost 38-36. Dylan Winerberger scored 19 points, Jaxon Bradshaw scored 11.
Tonight the CWC boys basketball team will travel to DuQuoin to face Cairo in night 2 of the 25th Annual DuQuoin Tip-Off Classic. The Bulldogs defeated DuQuoin back on Monday 63-52 to improve to 2-0 on the season. Tip off is set for 5:30, you can listen to the game live on 97.3 FM WRUL and online at WRUL.com
The Carmi-White County wrestling match against Lawrenceville that was scheduled for tonight has been canceled. They will be in action on Saturday at the Lawrenceville tournament, their next home match is scheduled for next Wednesday against Tecumseh.
