The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team defeated Gallatin County last night by a final score of 55-34.
The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Mitchel Edwards who had 19 points.
Gavin Holloman scored 16 points.
Beck Huff scored 9 points.
Kade Stockton scored 7 points.
Merick Millhorn scored 4 points.
The Bulldogs begin the season 1-0, they will have the rest of the week off before they begin play in the DuQuoin Tip-Off Classic on Monday when they face Sparta. They will then play Sesser-Valier on Tuesday, Herrin on Friday, and then play for 1st, 3rd, 5th, or 7th Place next Saturday.
The Carmi-White County Girls Basketball team will face Harrisburg tonight in night 3 of the Harrisburg Preview Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs defeated West Frankfort last night, 38-33 to improve to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in the tournament.
