The Carmi-White County girls basketball team defeated Eldorado last night 54-24 at the Harrisburg Preview Tournament.
The Lady Bulldogs were led in scoring by Mara Serafini with 20 points.
Addi Elliott scored 11.
Caroline Simmons and Ashlyn Rager both scored 8.
Torrie Rider scored 5.
Johanna Smith scored 2.
Carmi improves to 2-0 on the season, they will take on West Frankfort tonight in Harrisburg. They will then play Harrisburg tomorrow.
The Carmi-White County boys basketball team will begin their season tonight as they travel to Gallatin County to face the Hawks.
The Bulldogs are coming off a 26-6 season last year which included a Black Diamond Conference Championship. Gallatin County on the other hand is coming off a 15-15 campaign last year which saw them win a regional championship.
Gallatin County did fall to Grayville last night 54-36.
Fans can listen to and watch tonight’s game on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel. Varsity will tip-off around 7:30 PM.
The Bulldog wrestling team began their season last night in Carterville. Carmi fell 52-30.
Gage Anderson, Conner Benham, Kale Wiggins, Jazz Duckworth and Nelson Rider all won their matches.
The Bulldogs will travel to Olney next Tuesday.
