WROY/WRUL Local Sports Recap
Brought to you by:
Jessica Cook and the ProRehab Team. Keeping you at your best on and off the court.
The Carmi-White County girls basketball team will begin their season tonight as they travel to Lawrenceville to take on the Lady Indians. The Lady Bulldogs are coming off a 10-20 campaign last season, but they do bring back a strong core from last year’s team.
Carmi will be led by 2 seniors, Mara Serafini and Johanna Smith – both of whom have received varsity minutes since their sophomore year. Serafini was the leading scorer from last year and Smith led the team in assists.
Next week, the Lady Bulldogs will take part in the annual Harrisburg Preview Tournament. They will play Eldorado on Monday, West Frankfort on Tuesday, Harrisburg on Wednesday and Anna-Jonesboro on Saturday.
Best of luck to head coach Clinton Wolff and the Lady Bulldogs this season.
