The Carmi-White County Girls Basketball team will begin the 2024-2025 season next Thursday at home as they host Lawrenceville.
The Lady Bulldogs are coming off a 26-6 campaign, which included their first Black Diamond Conference Championship in 15 seasons. Eric Dixon can now prepare for the season with a full roster, as he went all of last week without any volleyball players at practice.
Ashlyn Rager is the lone senior this year for the Lady Bulldogs.
After Carmi hosts Lawrenceville next Thursday they will take part in the Harrisburg Preview Tournament the week of Thanksgiving. The Lady Bulldogs finished in 2nd Place in that tournament last year.
The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team will host Gallatin County on Tuesday, November 26th for their first game of the season. After they host the Hawks they will take part in the DuQuoin Tip-Off Classic the week after Thanksgiving.
Taking a look at area high school football teams in action this weekend in the quarterfinal round of the IHSA Playoffs.
In 1A, Casey-Westfield will travel to Belleville Althoff.
In 2A, Johnston City will host Pana.
In 3A, Nashville will travel to Tolono-Unity, and Benton will travel to Monticello.
