The Black Diamond Conference released their 2024 Volleyball All-Conference team yesterday.
Caroline Simmons was named Conference MVP, and Lauren Burzynski was named Co-Captain along with Emmy Goering from Edwards County.
Jaya Smith, Ashlyn Rager, and Riley Roark were also named to the BDC All-Conference Team.
Congratulations to these 5 Lady Bulldogs on a fantastic achievement.
The Illinois High School Football Coaches Association released the All-State Football teams yesterday.
Carmi-White County’s Noah Pollard was named honorable mention for the 2A All-State Team.
Johnston City’s Evan Sanders was the only other Black Diamond Conference player to receive an All-State nod.
One week from today the Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog Basketball team will tip-off the 2024 season as they host Lawrenceville at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium.
Eric Dixon is the new head coach of the Lady Bulldogs, but he is in familiar territory. Dixon coached the Lady Dogs from 2001-2009, and led Carmi to a 186-84 record in that span.
After the Lady Bulldogs host Lawrenceville next Thursday, they will take part in the Harrisburg Preview Tournament during Thanksgiving week.
The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team will begin their season on November 26th when they host Gallatin County. The Bulldogs are coming off a 24-8 season, as Kevin Wolff is entering his 10th season as varsity head coach.
Both Dixon and Wolff will be speaking at the Carmi Kiwanis Club luncheon this afternoon to give previews of the 2024-2025 season.
