The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog Volleyball team fell to Bloomington Central Catholic last night in the IHSA 2A Super-Sectional in 2 sets, 25-21 and 25-20.

The Lady Bulldogs end the 2024 season with a 37-3 record. Those 37 wins breaks the CWCHS record for most wins in a single season. 

This season the Lady Bulldogs brought home;
1st Place at the Lady Mule Kickoff Tournament
1st Place at the Benton Classic
2nd Place at the NCOE Tournament
2nd Place at the Edwards County Tournament
A Black Diamond Conference Championship
A Regional Championship
A Sectional Championship

Congratulations to the Lady Bulldogs on a great season, and congratulations to the seniors, Paige Jackson, Alayna Johnson, Riley Roark, Lauren Burzynski, and Ashlyn Rager on great volleyball careers. 

In other IHSA Super-Sectional action last night,
NCOE lost to Calhoun at the 1A Trico Super-Sectional in 3 sets, 25-21, 19-25, 25-22.
The Fighting Cardinals finish the season with a 37-3 record. 

Taking a look IHSA Football Playoff scores from this past weekend;
In 1A,
Sesser-Valier lost to Calhoun, 14-6.
Casey-Westfield defeated Brown County, 16-0.
Casey-Westfield will travel to Belleville Althoff for the Quarterfinal Round this weekend. 

In 2A,
Chester fell to Maroa-Forsyth, 28-7.
Johnston City defeated Warrensburg-Latham, 24-6.
The Indians will host Pana this Saturday at 1 PM. 

In 3A,
Nashville defeated Greenville, 41-21.
Nashville will travel to Tolono-Unity this weekend.
Benton defeated Sullivan-Okaw Valley, 41-0.
Benton will travel to Monticello on Saturday. 

In 4A,
Murphysboro fell to Breese Central, 34-7.
Olney fell to Normal U High, 48-13.
