It’s Game Day for the Carmi-White County Lady Bulldogs as they take on the IC Catholic Knights at the IHSA 2A State Semifinals at Redbird Arena on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal at Noon.
The Lady Bulldogs are 33-7 on the year, and they are making their first ever appearance at the State Finals after defeating St. Thomas More in last Friday’s Super Sectional in Robinson.
IC Catholic meanwhile has had their share of postseason success. The Knights won the state title back in 2013 as well as 1983 and 1981. They were the 2A Runner-Ups last season.
If the Lady Bulldogs win today, they will take on the winner of Breese Mater Dei and Rock Falls tomorrow at 2 PM for the State Championship Match.
If the Lady Bulldogs lose today, they will take on the loser of Breese Mater Dei and Rock Falls tomorrow at 12:30 PM for the 3rd Place Match.
