It’s Game Day for the Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog softball team as they take on Carterville in the IHSA 2A Sectional Semifinal in Carterville at 3 PM.
The Lady Bulldogs enter today’s game with a 22-6 record after they defeated Fairfield 9-0 in the regional championship game last Thursday. Carmi has won 12 of their last 14 games. They faced Carterville back on March 19th and fell at home 10-2.
Carterville on the other hand is 33-1 on the year, and they are the #1 ranked team in Illinois 2A. After losing their first game of the year, they have won 33 games in a row. However, they have played some close games as of late, including a 3-2 win over Murphysboro in the regional championship last Saturday.
