It’s a busy week for Carmi-White County athletics as every spring sports team will be taking part in their postseasons this week.
Starting off tomorrow, the CWC Lady Bulldog softball team will take on either Benton or Eldorado in the semifinals of the Benton Regional at 3 PM. A win for CWC will place them in the regional championship on Friday.
The CWC Bulldog Baseball team will begin their postseason at home against Mt. Carmel Wednesday night at 6 PM. A win for the Bulldogs will send them to the regional championship Saturday morning.
The IHSA State Girls Track Meet preliminaries will begin on Thursday, and CWC will have 5 Lady Bulldogs participating in Charleston. Ashlyn Rager will compete for a state title in Discus, while Callie Accord, Gabbie Conover, Ally Pollard and Makyla Seibers will compete in the 4×8 relay.
Then on Friday, the CWC boys track team will run at the Webber Township Sectional in Bluford, and the CWC boys tennis team will compete in the Centrailia sectional.
