Tonight is sectional championship night for IHSA high school boys basketball, and a few southern Illinois teams are in action.
In the 1A Altamont Sectional,
Tuscola will face Altamont.
In the 1A Gallatin County Sectional,
Meridian will battle Webber.
In the 2A Newton Sectional,
Teutopolis will face Lawrenceville.
In the 2A Pinckneyville Sectional,
Breese Central will battle Pinckneyville.
The winner of tonight’s games will move on to Super Sectionals at SIU-Carbondale on Monday Night for a chance to go to the State Finals in Champaign.
The IHSA girls basketball state championships will be played tomorrow in Bloomington, and in 1A, it is a battle of two southern Illinois teams. Christopher will take on Okawville tomorrow at 11 am.
