The Carmi-White County baseball team defeated Lawrenceville at home yesterday afternoon by a final score of 8-6.
Travor Mason got the win on the mound for the Bulldogs, he pitched 5 innings allowing 3 runs on 5 hits with 4 walks and 2 strikeouts.
Caleb Seibers earned the save, he struck out 4 in 1 ⅔ innings of work.
At the plate,
Seibers went 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored.
Gavin Holloman went 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored.
Merick Millhorn went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
Trayton Vickers went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
Maxon O’Daniel went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Cade Allen went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Hayden Sauls also picked up a base hit in the win.
The Bulldogs improve their record to 8-0, they will travel to North Clay today.
The Carmi-White County softball team improved their record to 7-2 with a 7-2 win over Woodlawn yesterday afternoon.
Audrey Upton went the distance once again, she allowed just 2 runs on 7 hits while striking out 12 batters.
At the plate,
Addi Elliott went 4-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
Mara Serafini went 2-for-4 with a run scored.
Alayna Johnson went 1-for-4 with 2 RBI.
Grace Sneed went 1-for-1 with 2 walks and 2 runs scored.
The Lady Bulldogs will have a tough battle today as they travel to Gibson Southern to face the #3 team in Indiana 3A.
