The Carmi-White County Bulldog baseball team picked up two wins in a doubleheader on Saturday, defeating Robinson and Bismark-Henning to improve to 4-0 on the season.

The Bulldogs started the day with a 12-1 win over Robinson, thanks in part to a great outing on the mound from junior Travor Mason.

Mason went 4 ⅔ innings allowing just 1 run on 2 hits with 5 strikeouts.

Mason along with Gavin Holloman, Caleb Seibers, Merrick Millhorn, Trayton Vickers, Landon Driscoll and Maxon O’Daniel picked up base hits in the win.

The Bulldogs then took on Bismark-Henning. Carmi jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the 1st before the Blue Devils answered with 3 in the bottom half of the 1st. Carmi tied the game in the top of the 2nd and eventually took the lead in the top of the 6th and they would hold that lead to win 4-3.

Gavin Holloman and Caleb Seibers got the job done on the mound as Seibers picked up the win, not allowing a single hit in 3 ⅓ innings. Holloman struck out 5 in 3 ⅔ innings.

At the plate,
Holloman as well as Travor Mason, Merrick Millhorn, Trayon Vickers and Cade Allen picked up base hits in the win.

The Bulldogs are now 4-0 on the season, as they will host Gallatin County today at Eckerle Park. Carmi will then host Hardin County tomorrow before traveling to Benton on Friday.
