The Carmi-White County Bulldog baseball team defeated Carterville yesterday afternoon by a final score of 7-5.

The Bulldogs fell behind 3-0 in the 3rd inning, but they fought back to tie the game in the 4th inning thanks to an RBI double by Gavin Holloman. 

Holloman came through again with an RBI double in the 5th inning to put Carmi in front 5-3. 

The Bulldogs were able to hold on to the lead and pick up their 2nd win to start the season. 

Landon Driscoll went the distance on the mound, pitching all 7 innings allowing 5 runs, only 3 of which earned, with 0 walks and 4 strikeouts. 

At the plate,
Gavin Holloman went 3-for-3 with 3 RBI.
Cade Allen went 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored.
Merick Millhorn went 1-for-3 with a run scored.
Chad Burnett went 1-for-1 with a run scored.
Trayton Vickers picked up an RBI and Maxon O’Daniel picked up a base hit in the win.

The Bulldogs improve to 2-0 on the season, they will travel to Robinson tomorrow for a doubleheader.
