The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog Softball Team will host Mt. Carmel this afternoon at Archie Brown Field to begin their season. The Lady Bulldogs are coming off a successful 16-7 season in 2022 which included a conference championship. Fans can listen to today’s game on 97.3 FM WRUL and online at WRUL.com.
The CWC Boys Tennis team will travel to Henderson, Kentucky today to begin their season. They will then travel to Casey-Westfield tomorrow afternoon.
Carmi-White County High School graduate Devin Rankin, has been named an Academic All-American as well as the National Student Athlete of the Year by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.
Rankin has played basketball at Southeastern Illinois College for the past two seasons. In his sophomore campaign, he saw action in all 29 games played, registered double-figures 11 times, and saw a career high of 17 points on November 5th. All while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
