The Carmi-White County baseball and softball teams both picked up wins yesterday in their season openers.
The Bulldogs defeated West Frankfort 13-3.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Grayville 17-0.
There are a couple of area college basketball teams who will be participating in the postseason tournament.
The University of Evansville Men’s Basketball team will participate in the College Basketball Invitational, and the University of Southern Indiana Women’s Basketball team will participate in the WNIT.
