In the NJCAA Juco World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado, Wabash Valley College fell to the College of Central Florida in the National Championship Game by a final score of 13-6. Wabash Valley fell behind 9-0 in the top of the 1st Inning, and were never able to catch up. Congratulations to Wabash Valley and CWCHS Graduate Cal York on finishing 2nd in the nation.
The St. Louis Cardinals fell to the Pittsburgh Pirates yesterday afternoon by a final score of 2-1. After getting swept by Pittsburgh, the Cardinals will begin a 3-game series tonight against the Texas Rangers in Arlington. Adam Wainwright will get the start with first pitch coming at 7:05 PM. As always, fans can listen to every Cardinal game on 93.3 WROY AM 1460. The Redbirds enter tonight’s game with a 25-35 record, and 7.5 GB in the NL Central.
In Game 2 of the NBA Finals last night, the Miami Heat defeated the Denver Nuggets by a final score of 111-108. The series is now tied at 1 game a piece, Game 3 will be played on Wednesday in Miami.
