The Carmi-White County girls basketball team defeated Hamilton County last night on the road by a final score of 59-40.
The Lady Bulldogs were led in scoring by Mara Serafini who scored a career-high 29 points.
Caroline Simmons scored 14.
Addi Elliott scored 8.
Johanna Smith scored 4.
Ashlyn Rager scored 4.
The Lady Bulldogs improve to 23-4 on the season and 9-0 in the Black Diamond Conference. They will host Flora on Thursday for senior night with a chance to go a perfect 10-0 in conference play.
The IHSA will release the girls basketball regional pairings Thursday afternoon. The Lady Bulldogs have a strong chance to be granted a top-4 seed in the Newton Sub-Sectional B. Carmi will either play their regional in Fairfield or Lawrenceville.
The Carmi-White County boys basketball team will host Edwards County tonight at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium. The Bulldogs are 17-5 on the year as they look to improve their conference record to 5-1.

The CWC Wrestling team will wrap up their regular season tonight as they travel to West Frankfort. The Bulldogs wrestlers will then travel to Herrin on Saturday for regionals.
