The Carmi-White County girls basketball team defeated Edwards County last night by a final score of 52-47. With the win, the Lady Bulldogs clinch their first Black Diamond Conference championship since 2009.

Addi Elliott led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 18 points.
Mara Serafini scored 14.
Ashlyn Rager scored 10.
Caroline Simmons scored 7.
Johanna Smith scored 3. 

Carmi-White County improves to 22-4 on the year and 8-0 in the conference. They have 2 more conference games left on the schedule – they will travel to Hamilton County on Monday and then host Flora on Thursday. 

The Carmi-White County boys basketball team will host Grayville tonight at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium. 

The Bulldogs are 15-5 on the season and Grayville is 14-11. 

Carmi will then travel to Eldorado tomorrow afternoon to face the Eagles. Varsity will tip-off at around 4 PM.

Fans can watch and listen to tonight and tomorrow night’s game on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel. 

The annual White County Cheering for a Cure will take place Saturday at Carmi-White County High School. The event will be streamed on the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel.
