The Carmi-White County boys basketball finished tied for 1st place at the Carmi-White County Invitational Tournament after defeating Mt. Vernon on Saturday night by a final score of 58-53.
The win for the Bulldogs set up a 3-way tie for the tournament championship with Carmi, Mt. Vernon and Fairfield all finishing 3-1.
Members of the CWCIT All-Tournament team were:
Kane Wilsey – Evansville Day School
Camron Ande – Harrisburg
Nicot Burnett – Mount Vernon
Gavin Holloman – Carmi-White County
Landon Harrelson – Fairfield
Jackson Clowers – Mount Vernon (MVP)
The Bulldogs improved their overall record to 15-5, they will have a few days off before they host Grayville on Friday and travel to Eldorado on Saturday.
The Carmi-White County girls basketball team was supposed to travel to Fairfield tonight for a conference clash with the Lady Mules, but that game has been moved to Wednesday (1/24).
The Lady Bulldogs are 20-4 on the year with a 6-0 conference record.
