Back on Friday the Carmi-White County Bulldog basketball team defeated Fairfield by a final of 51-40 to improve to 13-4 on the year and 5-0 in the Black Diamond Conference.
Bryce Conner led Carmi in scoring with 14 points, Mitchel Edwards scored 11, Landon Driscoll scored 9, and Tyler Goemaat and Gavin Holloman scored 8 each.
The Bulldogs will face Harrisburg tonight in the opening evening of the 43rd Annual Carmi-White County Invitational Tournament. Harrisburg is 8-8 on the season, and head coach Kevin Wolff knows that the purple Bulldogs will be a handful.

The CWC Lady Bulldog basketball team lost to Goreville on Saturday in the first round of the Eldorado Lady Eagle Classic by a final score of 53-42. Carmi will play Johnston City this morning at 8:30 in the 5th place bracket.
