The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog basketball team will travel to Eldorado tonight for a big Black Diamond Conference matchup. The Lady Dogs look for their first conference win of the year, as they have lost twice this season to Eldorado in close games. The Lady Eagles took down Carmi in the Harrisburg Preview tournament back on November 21 43-35, Eldorado then came to Carmi and just got past the Lady Dogs 47-43. Carmi is 7-12 on the year and 0-5 in the BDC East, Eldorado 12-6 on the season with a 2-3 conference record. The 7th Grade Bullpups defeated Albion last night, 45-35.
The CWC Wrestling Team defeated Mt. Carmel last night, 54-30.
Tomorrow night the CWC boys basketball team will travel to Fairfield to face the Mules. Carmi is currently riding a 3-game winning streak, while Fairfield has lost 3 in a row. The Bulldogs look to defeat the Mules for the first time since the 2017-2018 season.
The 43rd Annual Carmi-White County Invitational Tournament begins on Monday at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium. This year’s tournament field features Harrisburg, Fairfield, Mt. Vernon Indiana, Evansville Day and the host Carmi-White County Bulldogs. There will be 2 games a night on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
