 WROY/WRUL Local Sports Recap
Brought to you by:
Deep South in McLeansboro.
Jessica Cook and the ProRehab Carmi Team.

The Carmi-White County girls basketball team will travel to Woodlawn tonight for their final game of the regular season.

The Lady Bulldogs are 25-4 on the season, two wins away from tying the CWCHS record for most wins in a single season by a girls basketball team.

The Lady Dogs will begin regional play on Monday in Fairfield, they will take on the winner of Newton and Flora who play on Saturday.

The Carmi-White County boys basketball team will travel to Hamilton County tomorrow night for a big Black Diamond Conference matchup with the Foxes. The Bulldogs are 20-6 on the year and 7-1 in the BDC. A win tomorrow night will set up a Black Diamond Conference championship game next Friday when the Bulldogs travel to Fairfield to take on the Mules.

The IHSA will release the boys basketball regional seedings today. The Bulldogs have a chance to be voted as a top-4 seed in the Benton Sub-Sectional. Benton will undoubtedly be voted as the #1 seed. But Massac County, Vienna, Murphysboro and Carmi-White County will all be shooting for seeds 2-5. The full IHSA boys basketball postseason brackets will be released tomorrow afternoon. Carmi will either be placed in the West Frankfort regional or Massac County regional.

Best of luck to CWC senior wrestler, Nelson Rider, he will travel to Vandalia tomorrow for the IHSA 1A Wrestling Sectionals.
