The Carmi-White County boys basketball team picked up two big wins this weekend, defeating Flora 37-31 on Friday and Mt. Carmel 38-33 on Saturday to improve to 21-4 on the season and 7-0 in the Black Diamond Conference.
The Bulldogs will play two conference games this week, starting off with a road trip to Eldorado tomorrow night to face the Eagles. Carmi can clinch at least a share of the conference championship with one win this week, and they can clinch the conference title outright if they win tomorrow and on Friday against Hamilton County.
Congratulations to CWC Wrestlers Isaac King, Nelson Rider, and Caleb Siebers for advancing to sectionals. King finished in 3rd in the 182 weight class, Rider finished in 1st in the 195 weight class and Siebers finished in 1st in the 160 weight class at the Anna-Jonesboro regional on Saturday. The three Bulldog wrestlers will head to Carterville this Friday for sectionals.
The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog basketball team will begin regionals this Saturday at home against Palestine. Tip-off has been set for 1 PM. The Lady Bulldogs will wrap up their regular season this Thursday at home against Woodlawn for senior night.
